ACSELL (Accelerating SME innovative capacities with the Living Lab approach) is an Interreg Europe project.
The overall objective of ACSELL is to sensitize the public sector, innovation intermediaries (e.g., chambers of commerce, technology transfer offices, etc.) and SMEs towards
• expanding SME competencies by promoting open innovation ecosystems; and
• integrating the user early in the innovation process with (interregional) living lab approach.
Through joint exchange of experience events and the targeted identification and transfer of good practices, the 1) political and infrastructural framework conditions for SMEs are to be improved, 2) political decision-makers, innovation intermediaries and SMEs are to be sensitized to open innovation processes and the living lab approach and, last but not least, 3) innovation capacities of SMEs are to be strengthened.
The project is coordinated by the University of Tübingen, and the partner regions are: Flanders (BE), Timis (RO), Northern Denmark (Ideklinikken) (DK), Friuli Venezia Giulia (IT), Scotland (UK) and Ljubljana (SL).
The project has an overall budget of 1,685004,00€ and it runs from 1/8 2019 to 31/7 2023
